Kindergarten
We love our kiddos at Liberty Christian Academy! The goal for our kindergarten children is to prepare them for a successful experience with the PACE curriculum that is used in our Learning Center. This is accomplished with a careful step by step approach using the Accelerated Christian Education curriculum “ABCs with Ace and Christi.”
1. ABCs with Ace and Christi is a multi-sensory, phonetic reading program. This multi-sensory approach enables the student to learn letter sounds, alphabet sequence, and word relationships.
2. Students becomes acquainted with phonics through animal flash cards, songs, stories and more. Students are usually reading within this first 12-15 weeks of this program.
3. Included with the lively and entertaining phonics-based program that incorporates cartoon characters, songs, poems and displays, are physical and character-building activities. Students will begin Word Building PACEs and the first three level one Math PACEs. A fun and rewarding environment is created for maximum learning!
(Note: To begin our learning to read kindergarten program, a child must pass two parts of a Pretest. The tests will focus on the child’s basic knowledge of colors, shapes, hand-eye coordination and fine motor coordination.)
